Exploring the Cumbre del Sol with Clickstay

Holidays are usually on top of everyone's list of things to do during the year and it's definitely been on mine for the last 5 years, but it just hasn't been accomplished. I've not had a big holiday since Venice back in 2012/3 so it was definitely well overdue for me to pack a suitcase and jet off somewhere warm to have some time out. It's important for us all to switch off, take a break and relax so that's exactly what I did when Clickstay gave me the opportunity to head to the Cumbre del Sol in Spain to stay in one of their villa rentals which I had been lusting over for months on their website.

If your on the search for the affordable getaway then I would pop over to Clickstay's website, with over 20,000 holiday homes to choose from there's definitely something for everyone there.

In the location of a 70 minute drive from the nearest airport, Alicante is the heart of the Costa Blanca, Cumbre del Sol. This residential site is nestled comfortably between Javea and Moraira in the north province of Alicante. The site extends along the sea front, divided into different residential areas consisting of villas, detached houses, bungalows and apartments. All areas are surrounded by green spaces, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.

Within the residential area was the villa that we'd be staying for the duration of 4 nights, 79 Lirios. The location itself was nothing less than perfect for our getaway; picturesque and quiet complete with epic views of the sea. If that didn't zen you out in an instant then the villa itself would help you on your way.

It's a luxury 2 bed villa that sleeps up to 4 people, with a 8m x 4m private pool in an arched courtyard. The villa also has it's own parking on site, as well as free WiFi internet, it's own gardens complete with lemon trees, Sat TV and DVD player.

The villa was a 'home from home' type accommodation and in an instant we could relax and do what we wished at our leisure so it was no surprise that it's the No1 rented villa on the Cumbre del Sol with Clickstay. Whether you decided that you'd like to sit in the lounge watching some TV, out on the terrace drinking some wine or chill by the pool then 79 Lirios is the solution. Surrounding the villa is a variety of different other villas, open grass areas and epic views of the sea considering the time of year we visited it was quite populated with other people enjoying the most of some Easter holiday sunshine. One thing for sure was that we didn't at all feel disrupted or disturbed during our stay there.

We had everything we could need during our stay at the villa, the owners of the villa even left us a couple of necessities which was extremely kind of them too. They also left us a guide of the villa as well as of information of the nearest beaches, things to do and see which for newbies to the areas we made complete use of. We spent a lot of our initial visit working through the guide to decide where we should go, what we should do and where we should eat. The guide has been built up on their knowledge over the years that the owners have created based on visitor information as well as their own.

The accommodation was well presented, well cleaned and looked after with even the private swimming pool which was cleaned whilst we were at the villa. We made full use of the BBQ on site, having most of our meals cooked over the grill was great during the warm evenings.

The location of the villa is out of the way with little access to public transport with the nearest beach around a 10 minute drive away (Cala del Moraig) and the supermarket for your essentials around a 15-20 minute drive. You would definitely require the use of a hire care to get around the various locations on offer near the villa, the villa is located at the top of a mountain and let me assure you, you don't want to be walking up and down the steep hill to get to the beach.

This villa would be great for families, with availability to the private swimming pool and possibility of meeting other young people from the local villas to socialise with. There are a couple of floats and objects for young people to play with in the pool.

There is plenty for you to see and check out whilst staying at the Cumbre del Sol, within a 30 minute drive away from where the villa is located. Read on to discover 4 Things To Do At Cumbre Del Sol, Spain.

I would give this rental a definite visit if your planning to explore a new area of Spain and enjoy great sea views and some peace and quiet.
