Brackenborough Hall Coach House - Dog-Friendly Accommodation in Lincolnshire Wolds.

[AD/Complimentary stay at Brackenborough Hall Coach House. HOWEVER, we paid for an extra night during our stay here].

Following on from our trip to the Lincolnshire Wolds this Autumn (read the 48 Hours in the Lincolnshire Wolds post here), I wanted to share a more in-depth review about our accommodation.  Brackenborough Hall Coach House is situated on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds and a stone throw away from the lovely Georgian market town of Louth.

This affordable accommodation in the Lincolnshire Wolds is only 10 miles from the sandy beaches, less than an hour from Lincoln Castle and Cathedral, Hull and Skeggness. Brackenborough Hall Coach House also welcomes your four-legged family member to their accommodation which is fantastic for people finding the perfect retreat.

The market town of Louth is a fantastic place to gather some history on the area, a bite to eat from their many independent retailers and businesses, as well as enjoying the view across the Lincolnshire Wolds from the top of St James' Church. There's a lovely walk from Hubbard's Hill to the market town which must end with a visit to the popular Cheese Shop!

On site there are three different apartments to choose from; the Granary, Stables and Saddle Room which are all converted from the 18th-century Coach House which opened in 2007. Hosts Paul and Flora have created apartments which are comfortable, spacious, cosy spaces that ooze personality. In return for their warm hospitality, they have won both local and national awards!

There's so much to do in this space and everything has been thought about in order to deliver five-star standard accommodation and a break you could extend over and over again. Each of the apartment is full of original features, adding to the character and interest in this place. The Coach House garden is a spacious area that includes seating areas, BBQ, children's play area and toys as well as the use of the extensive Brackenborough Hall gardens. A great place for exploring and spotting some wildlife. We also were gifted with a hamper full of staple weekend goodies from local businesses. This was such a nice touch - especially if you were like me and visiting the Lincolnshire Wolds for the first time!

Brackenborough Hall Coach House is situated on a fantastic amount of green acres, 650 of those are used to grow wheat, barley, oilseed rape and beans. The farm is very much in working order and you can see this for yourself during your stay. Paul kindly offered his time to give us a fantastic insight into the history and current order within the farm and its surroundings. He spoke about his family history fondly and how time has changed the area. He allowed us to visit the farm's cattle, see what they had already harvested this season and a glimpse of the deserted medieval village on their doorstep too. We also were left a couple of DVD's in our accommodation which we enjoyed viewing as they gave us a further insight into the history of this place.

For our visit we stayed in the Saddle Room. This is situated at the bottom left of the Coach House and is a spacious 2-bedroom apartment to enjoy. It comes with a fully-functioning kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher and oven. There is a bathroom that comes with both a separate bath and shower. Both of the bedrooms come with double beds and cosy duvets to tuck into after a long day exploring the Lincolnshire Wolds. Both of the bedrooms have exits into the gardens too. I definitely imagined ourselves visiting in the summer and sitting out in the courtyard in the morning with a cuppa as the sun rose. We had a really comfortable stay within the Saddle Room and would love to revisit for this apartment alone.

The apartments also come with Free Wi-Fi which worked really well for us both during our stay. If you're away working then you can work in the comfort of gorgeous surroundings.

The other apartments available are The Stables which can sleep up to 4 people and upstairs in The Granary which sleeps a larger party of 8.

Brackenborough Hall Coach House is a fantastic place to stay in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds and I'll definitely be visiting again in 2020! We had an unforgettable stay and we'd love the opportunity to spend some time there again.
