In a sleepy small town in America, a mysterious cult moves into a local ranch. Tensions between the locals and the cult soon reach a breaking point and Noah, the mayor’s troubled son is caught longing for acceptance between them.
So far Kin: A New Musical has had two sell-out concert performances at The Other Palace Theatre, London, 7 sold-out performances at The Factory Playhouse Hitchin and its entire current run at Theatro Technis is sold out. Now we’ve seen it for ourselves, here are 5 reasons why you should see Kin: A New Musical.
1. Unforgettable vocals.
This musical has a powerful and deeply emotionally resonant soundtrack based on beloved 80s pop music. The songs are incredibly catchy and you will find yourself humming them under your breath for days afterwards. Kin’s soundtrack has had over 3 million streams on TikTok and is available on all streaming platforms. It has also had covers by West End Stars including Alice Fearn and Rob Houchen who have loved its original songs so much.
2. Spectacular performances
KIN: A New Musical showcases powerful outstanding performances from talented actors and singers including Joseph Peacock, Adam Robert Lewis, Emma Kingston, Sophie Rose Middleton and Athena Collins amongst others. Their exceptional skill brings the musical to life and the plot twists and singing will leave you breathless with excitement.

This musical explores profound themes and emotions, including grief, loneliness, family drama and seeking for your purpose and own community in life. It evokes deep emotions in the audience and will make you ask profound questions of yourself and the world around you.
4. Inspired by true historical events
KIN is very loosely inspired by the Rajneeshpuram. Rajneeshpuram was a little-known religious international community in Wasco County, Oregon, USA. Incorporated as a city between 1981 and 1988, its population consisted entirely of Rajneeshees, followers of the spiritual teacher Rajneesh, later known as Osho. It’s also inspired by the Netflix documentary Wild, Wild Country which was about this cult. You’ll be left reeling by this Musical exploration of history.
5. To see a groundbreaking show in its beginnings
Kin has all of the makings of the next record breaking musical. You’re going to want to see this show to get the bragging rights for the next twenty years that you were in on this brilliant trend from the beginning.
