Further cast announced for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat UK Tour

The second tour of the acclaimed Palladium production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat will open in December for a magical Christmas season from 3 December 2024. Opening at the Edinburgh Playhouse, the production will feature Donny Osmond as the Pharaoh (these will be his only UK dates).

Joining the sensational production of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s iconic musical is Joe McElderry who will star as Pharaoh. Joe joins the tour at the Sunderland, Empire Theatre; Canterbury, Marlowe Theatre; Nottingham, Theatre Royal; Belfast, Grand Opera House; Leeds, Grand Theatre; Wimbledon, New Theatre; Blackpool, Winter Gardens; Woking, New Victoria Theatre; Newcastle, Theatre Royal; Plymouth, Theatre Royal; Leicester Curve; and Sheffield, Lyceum Theatre.

He will be joined by Christina Bianco (The Wizard of Oz) as Narrator and Adam Filipe (Titanic The Musical, UK Tour) as Joseph.

The 2025 tour completing company are also announced today with Hugh Cotton as Reuben and Will Haswell as Simeon. Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a musical that tells the biblical story of Joseph, a young man with the ability to interpret dreams, who is sold into slavery by his jealous brothers but rises to power in Egypt. Through a series of trials, Joseph's gift brings him success, ultimately leading to a reunion with his family.

Released as a concept album in 1969, the stage version has become one of the world’s most beloved family musicals. It has been performed hundreds of thousands of times including multiple runs in the West End, on Broadway and internationally in over 80 countries worldwide. The last UK tour took place in 2022.
