World Premiere of Midnight Cowboy - A New Musical Announced for London in 2025

The World Premiere of Midnight Cowboy - A New Musical will open at the Southwark Playhouse from 4 April - 11 May 2025.

This powerful adaptation features a book by Bryony Lavery, the Tony-nominated writer of Frozen, breathing new life into the classic tale with a compelling exploration of friendship and ambition. The production is accompanied by a captivating soundtrack from three-time Ivor Novello Award-winning composer Francis “Eg” White, renowned for his work with artists like Adele, Sam Smith, Florence + The Machine, and James Morrison.

Based on James Leo Herlihy’s novel and the iconic, triple Academy Award-winning 1969 film starring Jon Voight and Dustin Hoffman, Midnight Cowboy vividly captures the tension between chasing big dreams and surviving the relentless grind of New York City.
