All-Female Revival of Glengarry Glen Ross Announced at The Old Vic
The Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Glengarry Glen Ross will be revived for the very first time at The Old Vic this summer. The Tony Award winning director Patrick Marber will direct this new staging of David Mamet’s 20th play.
Director Patrick Marber said, ‘Around this time last year I had the good fortune to be directing Glengarry Glen Ross on Broadway. It’s a heck of a play to work on; hilarious, profound, obscene – a thrilling story with twists that make an audience gasp. It was written in the 1980s but it seems to me to be about our world right now. I'm very excited to be doing it again, this time as a premiere with an all-female cast. And I am honoured to be making my directing debut at the famous Old Vic with Mamet’s mighty play.’
Glengarry Glen Ross is about a group of desperate real estate salesmen competing to sell worthless land in order to keep their jobs. As one of the most influential and thrilling dramatic comedies of the late 20th century, David Mamet’s Glengarry Glen Ross won the 1984 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
The creative team includes Set & Costume by Rob Howell, Lighting by Sally Ferguson, Casting by Helena Palmer CDG, Associate Director Lily Dyble, Associate Costume Designer Lucy Gaiger, Props Supervisor Katie Saunders for Propworks, Wigs, Hair & Make Up by Campbell Young Associates, Voice by Charlie Hughes-D’Aeth and Dialect by Danièle Lydon.
The cast for the run is to be announced.
Glengarry Glen Ross will play at The Old Vic from 04 June - 18 July 2026.
