After a sold-out Winter concert, Leading Voices LDN returned to the Union Theatre for 2 back to back concerts; Fresh off the Score: Summer Edition.
Featuring works from some of the newest and emerging talents in the UK, the concert highlights and celebrates what the future of Musical Theatre has in store. Featuring works never performed before through to some from shows starting to make their way into more popular culture such as Hot Mess and Ballad Lines, the concert is a wonderful demonstration of the colour, interest and passion within the community.
Leading Voices LDN are a professional Musical Theatre choir created by Ralph Warman, the mission is to celebrate new musical theatre works and the creatives behind them. Their concerts give these artists a stage and voices to perform the works and offer an insight into the future of the stage.
Fresh Off the Score was an excellent programme of works, many of which proved exciting and enjoyable, and enabled audiences to find their next Musical Theatre show obsession. From hilarious numbers such as You Need a Daddy Bear written by Tom James McGrath, through to moving numbers like Room for Rent by Felix Elliott, the concert truly had everything. Standout numbers included No Interval Show by Neil Bastain & Winston Eade, as well as Please don’t Stop Coming Home from Jordan Paul Clarke’s highly anticipated musical “Raising Gays”.
Leading Voices LDN are creating a wonderful space to celebrate new works and offer concerts of emerging talent, many of which would perhaps wait much longer to have their works staged if it were not for the likes of Leading Voices providing these platforms.
