That’s Not My Name, written and performed by Sammy Trotman and directed by Jake Rix, is simply exceptional.
Sammy takes us on a whirlwind tour of the reality of living with mental illnesses in a raw and honest way many performers and writers are afraid to do.
Refreshingly unapologetic and brutally real, Sammy's performance is undeniably captivating as they tear down the boxes, diagnoses and acronyms we are reduced to, bringing into question who the labelling helps - the labelled or the labeller?
Sammy refuses to be constrained by theatrical or social norms, and creates a chaotic but quietly brilliant piece of theatre which you don't want to miss.
