There are no vibes unlike the ones pulsating out of the Underbelly Cowgate from Nottingham-based company Sheep Soup this year in Edinburgh. Described as a one-part sermon, one-part purge, three-parts party, House of Life is a travelling musical cult collective that will have you feeling so good, you’ll be talking to everyone you see in the city about this spectacular production. RaveRend has one mission: to get you happy, at any cost. In a world that right now seems so doom and gloom, this production gives you a chance to celebrate the good things in life - largely produced by the audiences you share this experience with.

The idea is actually quite simplistic, after all we’re all striving for more positivity in our life, aren’t we? This is achieved and really amped up by spending an hour in the company of RaveRend (Ben Welch) and “Trev” (Lawrence Cole). By using a cleverly integration of sound and video, we undergo the journey of enlightment, with genuine laughter along the way.

By the end of this performance, which becomes more and more about the people you share this experience with, you will dig a little deeper to understand how important it is to seek joy from the simplistic things in life. Life-affirming and one of the most joyful productions the Edinburgh Festival Fringe has to offer this year!

  • At Underbelly Cowgate until 25 Aug.
