Cast Announced for The Limp Wrist and The Iron Fist at Brixton House

Written by Emmanuel Akwafo and directed by Nathanael Campbell, the bold and heartfelt new play will head to Brixton House for a limited run this November.
Inspired by true events from writer Emmanuel Akwafo’s own life, The Limp Wrist and The Iron Fist is both a love letter and a call to arms – an honest, unapologetic celebration of Black queer resilience. Set against the vibrant backdrop of modern London, it follows a group of friends as they navigate love, faith, sexuality, masculinity, and identity in a world that too often misrepresents or silences them.
With humour, heart, and raw truth, this powerful production challenges perceptions while empowering young Black gay men to embrace the fullness of who they are – race, religion, sexuality, body, and self.
The cast for the run includes Noah Thomas (Why Am I So Single?, Garrick Theatre) as Nathaniel, Prince Kundai (Slave Play, Noel Coward Theatre) as Monday, Romeo Mika (Peter Pan Goes Wrong, Lyric Theatre) as Joseph, and Tyler Orphe Baker (Disney’s The Lion King) as Omari.
The creative team includes Set & Costume Designer Amelia Jane Hankin, Movement Director Annie Lunnette, Lighting Designer Jahmiko Marshall, Sound Designer Pierre Flasse, Stage Manager Emilija Mema, and Assistant Stage Manager Marcus Collick.
The Limp Wrist and The Iron Fist will play at the Brixton House from 6 - 26 November.
