West End Premiere for The Greatest Showman Announced
Roll up! Roll up! We’ve finally got news of The Greatest Showman’s transfer to the West End!
The musical, which had a sell-out run at the Bristol Hippodrome earlier this year, will be staged at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in Spring 2027. The Greatest Showman will continue Disney Theatrical Group’s longstanding association with LW Theatres, following Frozen and Disney’s Hercules, which have been staged in the historic venue.
The Greatest Showman musical, based on the 2017 smash-hit film, features songs by EGOT winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, book by Tim Federle and direction and choreography by Casey Nicholaw.
If you loved the film, don’t worry because songs like “The Greatest Show,” “A Million Dreams,” “Come Alive,” “Rewrite the Stars,” “Never Enough” and the Golden Globe® Award-winning “This Is Me,” do feature in the show, alongside brand-new songs written especially for the musical.
The initial cast has been announced for the West End run, including Oliver Tompsett as P.T. Barnum, Samantha Barks as Charity Barnum, Ben Joyce as Phillip Carlyle, Vajèn van den Bosch as Jenny Lind and Malinda Parris as Lettie Lutz. Further casting to be announced.
