Cast unveiled for UK Tour of Operation Mincemeat in 2026

Following the seventeenth West End and fifth Broadway extensions, the Tony Award® and double Olivier Award®-winning musical Operation Mincemeat unveils the cast for the UK leg of its landmark world tour. The tour will launch on 16 February at The Lowry in Salford, before a 40-week tour in theatres nationwide.

Following the UK leg of the world tour, Operation Mincemeat will travel across four continents, with stops including the USA, Australia, Canada, China, Mexico and New Zealand.

Reprising their acclaimed roles for the tour will be West End alumnae Christian Andrews (Sherlock Holmes and the 12 Days of Christmas), Seán Carey (The Play That Goes Wrong), Charlotte Hanna-Williams (Rogers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella), and Holly Sumpton (Lovers Actually). They are joined by recruits Jamie-Rose Monk ((the) Woman) to form the cast, while Katy Ellis (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button), Georgina Hagen (Only Fools & Horses), Jordan Pearson (Back to the Future: The Musical), and Morgan Phillips (Babies) complete the company.

Beginning as a tiny (and tiny-budgeted) production at the New Diorama Theatre in 2019, Operation Mincemeat is now running simultaneously in London and New York. It has won awards, including the Olivier and WhatsOnstage Awards® for ‘Best New Musical’, alongside garnering 88 five-star reviews and counting, and has become the ‘Best reviewed show in West End history.’

The debut musical is written and composed by SpitLip – David Cumming, Felix Hagan, Natasha Hodgson and Zoë Roberts. Operation Mincemeat is a musical comedy about the real WWII British intelligence mission that used a dead body and fake documents to deceive the Nazis. It follows a group of eccentric MI5 officers as they devise and execute the outrageous plan.

The production is directed by Olivier Award nominated Robert Hastie (Standing at the Sky’s Edge), who is joined by choreographer Jenny Arnold, set and costume designer Ben Stones, lighting designer Mark Henderson, lighting designer Mike Walker, orchestrator and vocal arranger Steve Sidwell, musical supervision by Joe Bunker and musical director Sam Sommerfield. Georgie Staight is Tour Director, Anna Marshall is Resident Director and Paul Isaiah Isles is Associate Choreographer. Casting is by Pearson Casting.
