A new UK and Ireland tour of Sister Act The Musical will take to the road in 2027 with Zoe Birkett, Craig Revel Horwood and Paul Chuckle leading the production, which opens at the New Wimbledon Theatre on 11 September, with further casting to be announced. Revel Horwood will play Mother Superior, Chuckle will appear as Monsignor O’Hara, and Birkett will play Deloris Van Cartier at selected venues.

Sister Act The Musical, inspired by the 1992 film, follows Deloris Van Cartier, a disco singer who is placed in protection at a convent when she witnesses a murder. As she helps the struggling choir find its voice, Deloris will also rediscover her own.

The musical made its West End debut in 2009 at the London Palladium, before a subsequent UK tour and Broadway production. The last West End revival took place in 2004.

Sister Act The Musical features original music by Tony and 8-time Oscar winner Alan Menken, lyrics by Glenn Slater, book by Bill and Cheri Steinkellner with additional book material by Douglas Carter Beane. This touring production for 2027 is directed by Bill Buckhurst, choreographed by Alistair David, Set and Costume Design by Morgan Large, Lighting Design by Tim Mitchell, Sound Design by Tom Marshall and Musical Supervision by Stephen Brooker. Casting is by Pearson Casting.
