ZAFYRO Cocktail Experience, Madrid

There’s nothing better than having a musical-themed cocktail after a show and continuing with the magic. ZAFYRO Cocktail Experience in Madrid is the perfect place to visit for that.
Just after walking in, you’re greeted by the lovely team members, who explain what ZAFYRO is all about and give you the menu, which is actually lit up! Every cocktail is designed with a musical in mind, such as Wicked, Mamma Mia! or Cabaret. Not only the design is based on the show, but the ingredients as well. For example, the Beauty and the Beast drink has notes of rose in it.
You can head up to the bar area to see how your cocktail is made, or you can just wait for it to be delivered to your table for a magical surprise. A video and a picture are almost obligatory, they are just that pretty. The colors of the drink, the custom bases they are served on, and the details of each drink are incredibly gorgeous.
I went with some friends, so I had the opportunity to taste a few cocktails, and I found them all incredible. Each has its own flavor story that ties into the show it represents. Some are punchier than others, but the alcohol is not overpowering, and it allows you to savour all the different ingredients. Many of the cocktails have a non-alcoholic version, which is just as delicious and beautiful, so if alcohol is not for you, there are options as well.
If you’re ever in the city and enjoying its many cultural opportunities, I highly recommend you give ZAFYRO a try, especially if you’re a fan of theatre or Disney.
